Explorers is the name of the Friday night children's club that has been running now for over twenty years on the estate at Stenson Fields in Derby. Originally, we held the club in Stenson Fields Community Primary School in the middle of the estate. I will always remember that first evening in September when we had ninety five children turn up. Numbers continued to grow until they peaked at one hundred and forty. We've averaged 80-100 children ever since.

We have always sought to give away Bible's so that children can read the Word of God for themselves. In recent years we have had the pleasure of seeing the children of those children who were some of the first children to attend Explorers - another sign that the years are quickly passing! Back in November, 2009, we once again gave another sixty five Bible's out to the younger children that have recently been coming along to Explorers. Each Friday evening we give out a sheet of daily Bible readings for the children to take home and read throughout the week alongside the teaching that they receive at Explorers.
